NCC Building’s Atrium To Be Named After The College’s Late President

Sheldon, Iowa — Northwest Iowa Community College officials have announced that the atrium of one of their buildings will be named in honor of a former college president who recently passed away.

According to NCC officials, on Tuesday, November 22, NCC will be hosting a Chamber Coffee to dedicate the Dr. Alethea Stubbe Atrium in Building H. They tell us it is is a come-and-go event starting at 9:30 a.m. with formal remarks at 9:45 a.m. Dr. Stubbe’s family will be in attendance for this recognition of what college officials are calling her “lifelong commitment to education and her 30+ years of service and dedication to NCC’s students, employees, and the communities we serve.”

Dr. Stubbe was from George and passed away this past June.

College officials clarify that this is a dedication of the atrium in Building H. The formal Building H dedication ceremony will be held on April 27, 2023.
