NCC Gives Details Of Paramedic Program They’ll Be Offering In The Fall

Sheldon, Iowa — A while back, we told you that Northwest Iowa Community College will soon be offering a program that will help people become paramedics.

We’ve got a little more information now from NCC’s Emergency Services Education Coordinator, Kevin Miller.

To those not in the emergency medical field, it can feel like all emergency responders are the same. But Miller tells us that’s not the case.

He explains the difference.

Miller says he has served as both an EMT and a paramedic, and will now be teaching in NCC’s paramedic program.

According to Miller, the paramedic program will start soon.

He says it is a prerequisite of the paramedic program that you be an EMT first. But he says NCC can help you with that as well.

He says they have built the program for convenience, so there are different ways you can take it.

Prospective students interested in the Paramedic Program at NCC can find more information, including admission requirements and application details, on the college’s website at nwicc.edu or by contacting the admissions office at admissions@nwicc.edu or by calling 712-324-5061.

Thanks to Community First Broadcasting sister station KSOU and Piet Westerbeek for doing the interview with Kevin Miller.
