Sheldon, Iowa — National Nurses Week begins each year on May 6th and ends on May 12th, Florence Nightingale’s birthday. Nurses are being celebrated in northwest Iowa, and especially at Northwest Iowa Community College in Sheldon, where they’re not only celebrating Nurses’ Week but also graduation, which is this Friday.
That’s Deb Kleinwolterink, who is the Director of Nursing Programs at NCC. She tells us about the options available to nursing students studying at NCC.
She tells us about some of the strengths of the NCC nursing program.
Kleinwolterink says they’ve been recognizing nursing week this week.
She says they are graduating 37 from their RN program this Friday, and 56 are graduating from the practical nursing program. The RN students will receive their pins at a pinning ceremony this Friday morning.
