NCC To Host Manufacturing Day

LLRC3 250Sheldon, Iowa — If you’ve always wondered what goes on in area manufacturing facilities, or perhaps you’ve thought about working at one of them, but wanted to know more — your chance is coming up next week.

Northwest Iowa Community College will be hosting their Annual Manufacturing Day event on Tuesday, October 25, 2016 from 9:00 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.

Instructor Ryan Steffen tells us what it’s all about.

He says the purpose of the event is to make people aware of what is built and created in northwest Iowa.

He says another purpose of the event is to promote and showcase the Manufacturing programs at NCC: Production Welding, Advanced Welding Technology, Engineering Design and Design Technology.

The event will be at the Northwest Iowa Community College Lifelong Learning and Recreation Center.

He says several local manufacturers are partnering with NCC for Manufacturing Day.

The event is open to area high school and college students, and the public is also welcome to attend.
