NCC To Host “Taste Of Sheldon” Event

Sheldon, Iowa — If you help run a Sheldon-area business, organization, or church, you might want to have a booth at an event coming up when students start going back to school in August.

The event, being called “Taste of Sheldon” is for Northwest Iowa Community College students, and will be held on NCC’s campus. NCC’s Coordinator of Residence Life and Student Activities, Jena Schouten tells us more.

She says the event will be held during the midday from 11 to 1 that day. Weather-permitting, it will be outside of Building A, but there is a provision for moving it indoors if needed. The college will host a free grilled hamburger meal with sides, catered by Hy-Vee, and in order for students to get a free meal, they must get a card filled out with signatures from the various booths.

Schouten tells us that if you help run one of these types of entities, you can contact her if you’d like to be involved, at jjschouten@nwicc.edu.
