NCC Youth Volleyball Camp will run from July 7th to July 9th

Sheldon, Iowa – Northwest Iowa Community College will host a youth volleyball camp for students entering grades 3–8 on Tuesday through Thursday, July 7–9, 2026, at the Lifelong Learning & Recreation Center (LLRC) on the NCC campus.

The camp is designed to help young athletes build fundamental volleyball skills in a positive, engaging environment. Participants will have the opportunity to develop their technique, learn basic game rotations, and build confidence while gaining exposure to the game.

Sessions will be divided by grade level to ensure age-appropriate instruction. Daily camp times are as follows:

  • Grades 3–4: 10:00–11:15 a.m.
  • Grades 5–6: 11:30 a.m.–12:45 p.m.
  • Grades 7–8: 1:30–2:30 p.m.
(Session times may run slightly longer.)

The camp will be led by Head Women’s Volleyball Coach Mark Kirlin, along with members of the NCC Thunder volleyball program. As NCC continues to build its volleyball program, camps like this help create connections with young athletes while establishing a strong foundation for the future.

The focus will be on creating an atmosphere that is enjoyable, competitive, and supportive for all skill levels.

The cost to attend is $45 per camper and includes a camp T-shirt.

“This camp is a great opportunity for young athletes to learn the game, build confidence, and have fun,” said Kirlin. “We’re looking forward to working with campers of all experience levels and helping them grow their skills on the court.”
