NCC’s CDL Program Honored By Governor’s Proclamation

Sheldon, Iowa — A neat recognition for one of the most in-demand programs at Northwest Iowa Community College in Sheldon — the Governor of Iowa, Kim Reynolds, has proclaimed April 30, 2019 Northwest Iowa Community College CDL Train & Test Day.

News of the proclamation came from NCC’s Coordinator of Transportation Programs, Dave Van Egdom. He tells us about the proclamation.

Van Egdom tells us about the feeling at NCC in regard to the news.

According to Van Egdom, the program they offer is for people who might be familiar with backing trailers on a farm, another business, or backing an RV or something of that nature. But he says someone like that will probably be able to have their CDL in two days.

If you’d like to learn how to drive the big rigs, you can call Van Egdom at NCC at 712-324-5061 or 800-352-4907. He says they hope to soon have a program teaching people how to drive school buses as well.
