Need An Incentive To Get Healthy? Check Out “Live Healthy” Challenge

Sheldon, Iowa — It’s the time of year when many of us think about fitness and getting healthy. If you’re the competitive kind, there’s a competition coming up that might help you meet those goals.

You can join thousands of Iowans in Live Healthy Iowa’s 10-Week Wellness Challenge. “Live Healthy Northwest Iowa” is a local take on the challenge, and Northwest Iowa Community College Lifelong Learning and Recreation Center Coordinator Greta Giese tells us about it.

You do need to hurry, because Monday, January 13th is the deadline to sign up your team. Giese says teams consist of two to ten people, but if you’re an individual and want to take part, they can match you up with a team as well. For more information, or to register, she says you can call the LLRC at 324-2493, the LLRC-East at 324-6152, or check them out on social media or the college website at nwicc.edu. When you get there, she says click on the LLRC (Rec Center) tab.
