Northwest Iowa Author Releases Fifth Mystery/Thriller Novel

Okoboji, Iowa — A northwest Iowa author, former teacher and school administrator has just released his fifth mystery/thriller in his “Zander” series of books.

Jeff Zwagerman taught Speech, Theatre, and English, and served as Superintendent of the Sibley-Ocheyedan School District prior to his retirement.

Zwagerman’s first novel, Always a Kicker was the first in the Zander Series. It was followed up by A Full Bubble Off Plum. HIs third book, South of Sideways finds the character drawn to the Florida Keys. The fourth installment, Tin Roof Rusted, is set in southwest Florida, the Everglades, and Sanibel Island.

Zwagerman gives us a brief synopsis of his latest work, The Skinny.

The book series has followed the books’ protagonist, Zander, from his hometown of Hospers, Iowa, on a journey that finds him crisscrossing the United States throughout the series.

Zwagerman says his protagonist, Zander is a damaged human being.

We asked Zwagerman if he thought he would ever run out of ideas for more Zander books.
