Orange City, Iowa — A Christian elementary school here in northwest Iowa has been working on an expansion plan that their constituents overwhelmingly approved in a vote taken Wednesday evening.
Orange City Christian School Principal Jason Alons tells KIWA that the amount of support the expansion plan received from the school’s constituents was amazing.
The measure approved Wednesday evening, is Phase 1 of a three-phase project. Alons talks about what Phase 1 entails.
Now that the project has been given the go-ahead by Orange City Christian School’s constituents, Alons says the next step is raising the funds to pay for it.
He says there are always two votes for a project like this, the vote to approve, and the vote with the checkbook.
Alons says the fundraising effort for the project is beginning immediately.
