Ocheyedan Days Of Olde Start Tonight

Ocheyedan, Iowa — Next on the summer festival schedule is the Osceola County town of Ocheyedan.

Ocheyedan’s “Days of Olde” is underway as of this Thursday evening, with a Parents of Bright Beginnings Day Care Bake Sale and Supper, the Little Mister and Miss contest, and the crowning of the Days of Olde King and Queen.

This Friday, there’s an open house at Bornsen Bees, Food vendors are available in the park in the evening, it’s also steak night at the Corner Club. There’s a Kids’ Parade, Kids’ Kickball, a co-ed volleyball tournament and a movie in the park with free popcorn.

The big day is Saturday, when they’ll have a BBQ Competition, a 5K fun run and walk, the main parade, food vendors, a kids’ pedal pull, fire truck rides, ice cream and pulled pork by the Tracy Museum, corn shelling, live music, a vendor fair, face painting, the co-ed volleyball tournament continues, kids’ inflatables, a car show, a foam party, a Sibley/Ocheyedan FFA meal, a street dance, a breakfast food truck (at night), and a mechanical bull.

On Sunday, they’ll have a community worship service, a community lunch, a bean bag tournament, and pickleball.
