Sheldon, Iowa — Sheldon High School has announced the names of the Homecoming King and Queen Candidates for 2021.

Homecoming Queen Candidates are:
Emma Barwick daughter of Gary & Cindy Barwick
Ada Borer daughter of Cory & Josephine Borer
Alexis Crawley daughter of Daniel & Heather Crawley
Megan Jager daughter of Shane & Christie Jager
Maliah Kleinhesselink daughter of Kevin & Staci Kleinhesselink

Homecoming King Candidates include:
Shane Brouwer son of Mike Brouwer and Trisha Brouwer
Max Hamill son of Chad & Beth Hamill
Joe Kim son of Sawan Kim
Braden Schwartz son of Chad & Maria Schwartz
Brady Van Meeteren son of Brian & Jill Van Meeteren

The homecoming candidates will be riding in the Sheldon Celebration Days parade this coming Monday, September 6th.

Homecoming is the week of September 20.  Here are the details planned so far:
The theme this year is “Going for Gold”

There will be dress up days each day (details to be determined)

Coronation – Tuesday, Sept. 21 at 8:00 p.m. in the high school gym

Homecoming Day Sept. 24
High school classes will run in the morning with an adjusted schedule.
Homecoming Parade around East Elementary, Middle School and High School (more information to come)
Football game vs. West Lyon at 7:00 pm
