Orange City Dollar Fresh Store To Open Friday

Orange City, Iowa — The opening date for the new Hy-Vee Dollar Fresh store in Orange City has been announced. It’ll be this coming Friday, November 19th.

The new store was built on property on Highway 10 East that used to house the MOC/Floyd Valley bus barn and Vander Pol Excavating. The address is 1301 Eighth Street Southeast in Orange City.

We caught up with District Store Director Brian Osmanski outside the new store on Tuesday. He tells us how it feels to be this close to opening day.

Store Manager Angela Halstgad says they’ll open to the public at 7:00 a.m. on Friday, with a ribbon-cutting shortly thereafter.

Osmanski tells us what they will have to offer inside the approximately 27,300-square-foot store.

Osmanski says they will offer some bakery items, some ready-to-eat meals, and their meat is pre-packaged and ready to go.

According to Osmanski, Dollar Fresh is a division of Hy-Vee, but they are their own store. The Dollar Fresh deals can be found through the Hy-Vee app. Just search for Orange City and the Orange City Dollar Fresh store should show up as an option. Again, they’ll open to the public on Friday at 7:00 a.m., and they’ll be open every day from 7:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.
