Orange City, Iowa — An Orange City man has been arrested after officers say he took a vehicle without asking.
The Orange City Police Department reports that on Sunday, May 10, 2015 at 10:15 AM, their officers were dispatched to 213 Seventh Street Northeast in Orange City. The reporting party told officers that her 1997 Chevy Suburban had been taken, damaged and then brought back.
Upon further investigation, police arrested 21-year-old Richard Daniel Ortiz of Orange City and charged him with Operation Without Owner’s Consent and Criminal Mischief in the fourth degree.
According to Sioux County Jail records, Ortiz was booked into jail and at last report was being held without bond.
