Orange City Teen Taken To Hospital After Accident

Sioux Center, Iowa — An Orange City teen was taken to a hospital after an accident on Thursday, December 29th.

The Sioux County Sheriff’s Office reports that about 10:50 p.m., 19-year-old Breanna Ten Clay of Orange City was driving a 1993 Chevrolet Silverado pickup southbound on Highway 75, a half mile south of Sioux Center, when she lost control of the vehicle, which crossed the northbound lane, entered the east ditch, and struck a ditch embankment and a fence.

The Sheriff’s Office says the Sioux Center Ambulance took Ten Clay to the Sioux Center Health Hospital.

The Chevy pickup sustained about $6,000 in damage.

They report that they cited Ten Clay on charges of failure to maintain control of a motor vehicle and failure to use a seatbelt.

The Sheriff’s Office reports that the Sioux Center Police Department, Sioux Center Fire Department, and the Sioux Center Ambulance crew assisted them with the accident, which remains under investigation.
