Prairie Arts Council Gets Paint Grant

Sheldon, Iowa — Sheldon’s Prairie Arts Council Historical Park is one of one-hundred-four community projects in Iowa to receive a grant from the Paint Iowa Beautiful program as part of the Keep Iowa Beautiful program.

Prairie Arts Council President Karen Vanden Berg tells us the reason for the grant application.

Vanden Berg talks about Prairie Arts Council’s painting project.

She says they applied for a total of twelve gallons of paint for the project.

The paint grants are made possible by the Keep Iowa Beautiful campaign in conjunction with Diamond Vogel Paints. In the 16-year partnership with Keep Iowa Beautiful, Diamond Vogel has awarded more than ten-thousand gallons of paint for 887 community projects in the state of Iowa.

Keep Iowa Beautiful was established in 2000 by then-Governor Robert D. Ray and Donald F. Lamberti becoming the 23rd State Affiliate of Keep America Beautiful. For more information visit the Keep Iowa Beautiful website by CLICKING HERE.
