Minneapolis, Minnesota — Three people, including two child victims and the shooter, are dead after a shooting at a catholic church and school in Minnesota.
The shooting happened at the Annunciation Church and School in south Minneapolis. Police say the shooter, Robin Westman, born as Robert Westman, is dead, likely as the result of a self-inflicted gunshot wound. Besides those killed, seventeen others were injured.
The FBI says they are investigating this shooting as an act of domestic terrorism and hate crime targeting Catholics.
President Trump has ordered flags to be flown at half-staff in memory and as a mark of respect for those whose lives were taken.
Flags at the White House and upon all public buildings and grounds, at all military posts and naval stations, and on all naval vessels of the Federal Government in the District of Columbia and throughout the United States and its Territories and possessions are to be flown at half-staff until sunset, Sunday, August 31, 2025. Other government entities, businesses, organizations, and individuals are also asked to fly the flag at half-staff at this time.
