Primghar Man Faces Numerous Felony, Misdemeanor Charges

Primghar, Iowa — A Primghar man faces felony charges following a traffic stop in Primghar early Saturday evening.

O’Brien County authorities say of their deputies, while on routine patrol Saturday evening, witnessed a moped driving in an erratic manner.  Deputies initiated a traffic stop, and discovered that the moped was allegedly being operated by 34-year old David Nachtigal of Primghar.  Deputies say that, while operating the moped, Nachtigal had a minor child riding on the vehicle with him, the youngster placed in front of Nachtigal.

Upon further investigation, deputies say they determined that Nachtigal was operating the moped while under the influence of alcohol.  Authorities say Nachtigal was also discovered to be operating the vehicle without a valid driver’s license..

O’Brien County authorities say Nachtigal was arrested on charges of: 3rd Offense Operating While Intoxicated, a Class D Felony;  Violation of Sex Offender Requirements, a Class D Felony; Child Endangerment, an Aggravated Misdemeanor; Driving While Licensed Denied or Revoked for OWI, A Serious Misdemeanor; and Operating Without Registration, and Driving Under Suspension, both Simple Misdemeanors.

Authorities say Nachtigal was jailed in the O’Brien County Jail at Primghar.
