Retired Sheldon Fire Engine Finds New Home In Everly

Sheldon, Iowa — The Sheldon Fire Company recently added a new fire engine to their fleet of apparatus, and the fire engine it replaced now has a new home.

Everly Fire Chief Brian Kahl and Training Officer Justin Jorgensen made the trip to Sheldon Saturday to take possession of Sheldon’s former Engine Four, a 2000 Luverne Spartan pumper truck.

The Everly Fire Department purchased the truck as a replacement for a 1980 fire truck that has developed engine problems.

The sale price of old Engine Four was $59,500, which will be used to help pay for the Sheldon department’s new pumper.
