Sheldon, Iowa — RISE Ministries, the organization behind the Christian music festival RiseFest, is pleased to announce the first speaker on the 2017 lineup, Pedro LaTorre. Former touring drummer for a multitude of Christian acts, LaTorre now travels across the nation speaking at schools, conferences, festivals, and more, and will be in Sheldon For RiseFest 2017. Father’s Day Weekend.
Rise Ministries Founder and President Rob Roozeboom tells us how LaTorre’s appearance at RiseFest 2017 came about.
LaTorre was born into a broken home and by the age of twelve he had seen two divorces. Pedro’s story is shaped by difficult setbacks he chooses to see as divine setups.
Roozeboom says LaTorre will speak sometime on Saturday, June 17th, during RiseFest Weekend.
He says they are very excited to have Pedro LaTorre as part of RiseFest 2017.
RiseFest features well known and up and coming Christian artists. In addition to musical acts, attendees visit seminars and listen to speakers. Children can play games and make crafts in the Kids Zone. Junior and Senior high school aged students can participate in their respective, specially catered youth areas. Those traveling out of town can buy camping spaces for trailers or tents to stay the weekend. RISE Ministries, along with its sponsors, partners, and volunteers seek to make the atmosphere of the event fun and meaningful for all ages.
