Rock Valley, Iowa — A Rock Valley man faces two felony charges following an investigation into an alleged incident that occurred New Year’s morning.
Court records indicate that 45-year-old Joe Lee Kats is accused of entering the home of a Rock Valley woman, uninvited, in the early morning hours of January 1st, and having intercourse with the victim against her will.
Kats is charged with 1st Degree Burglary, a Class B Felony; as well as 3rd Degree Sexual Abuse, a Class C Felony.
A Preliminary Hearing in the case is set for 10:00 am Tuesday June 7th in Sioux County Magistrate Court.
According to online jail records, as of noon Thursday, Kats remained in the Sioux County Jail in lieu of a $25,000 bond.
