Rohwer: Large Number Of O’Brien County Residents Voting Early

O’Brien County, Iowa — We’ve heard a lot about early voting for this year’s general election, and O’Brien County Auditor Barb Rohwer says that, at least in Iowa, early voting is pretty much the same as absentee voting.

Rohwer says early voting can be done on the second floor of the O’Brien County Courthouse in Primghar.

She says the number of O’Brien County residents taking advantage of early voting has been much higher this time than in the past.

In addition, Rohwer says there have been an unprecedented number of absentee ballots returned thus far.

She says O’Brien County residents who are voting absentee are more than welcome to return their ballots to the Auditor’s Office in person.

Rohwer reminds you that if you plan to vote absentee you MUST have your ballot request form returned to the Auditor’s Office NO LATER THAN 5:00 pm on October 24th. She says that’s the last day her office can mail out absentee ballots.
