Sandra Johnson Talks About Her Run For Sheldon Council 2nd Ward

Sheldon, Iowa — Next Tuesday, June 8th, voters in Sheldon’s 2nd Ward will go to the polls to elect their next representative on the Sheldon City Council, in a special election to fill the vacancy left by the resignation of former Councilman Shawn Broesder.

In an effort to help you get to know each of the three candidates a little better, KIWA will be bringing you that information, in the candidates’ own words, one each day for the rest of this week. We’ll be presenting these candidates in the order in which their nomination papers were filed.

Today we start with Sandra Johnson. The George native tells us a little bit about her background.

We asked Johnson what made her decide to run for City Council.

She says more businesses and more residents for Sheldon are among her priorities should she be elected.

Johnson reminds people to make their voices heard through casting their ballot.

Next Tuesday’s special election is open to voters in Sheldon’s 2nd Ward ONLY, with polls open from 7:00 am to 8:00 pm at the Crossroads Pavilion.
