Sheldon, Iowa — The annual Sanford Sheldon Health Fair and SCAT Supper will be on Monday night, May 21st. There’s a new venue this year. The festivities will be at the Crossroads Pavillion Events Center in eastern Sheldon.
SCAT – The Sheldon Community Ambulance Team — is raising funds this year for new splinting supplies, according to SCAT director Kevin Miller.
Miller tells us what you can expect if you go to the SCAT Supper, which runs from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Monday evening.
Miller says that you can get tickets from any SCAT member or at the door, and he thanks the community for their support.
Sanford Sheldon CEO Rick Nordahl says he’s upbeat about the new location.
He says that providing wellness and medical education to the community is really important.
He says it’s still a very valuable screening, even at that price.
He says they’ll have several booths at which you can learn. If you go to five stations, you’ll get a free gift.
While the supper runs from 5 to 7 p.m., you get a little time before or after the supper to take in the health fair. That’s available during the supper, but they start at 4:30 and go until 7:30 p.m. And again, it’s all at the Crossroads Pavillion this year.
