Several Inches Of Snow Now Forecast For Northwest Iowa Sunday Night

Northwest Iowa — Expect light to moderate snow to impact the region Sunday Night through Monday, with the highest totals forecast to occur across SW Minnesota and NW Iowa. Continue to monitor the forecast for the latest updates!

Rain will transition over to snow Sunday evening and continue through Monday, with most accumulations occurring along and north of I-80. A sharp rain/snow transition will set up which will result in significant snow accumulation differences over short distances on the southern edge. Heaviest snow will fall between midnight to noon Monday, impacting the Monday morning commute in northern Iowa.

Expect an early spring system to begin impacting the region tonight through Monday, bringing with it, rain, snow, and windy conditions. Sunday is shaping up to be a rather raw day. Highs will remain in the 40s with east winds gusting 30 to 40+ mph. Rain will expand across the state and then transition to snow Sunday evening.
