Sheldon, Iowa — A Sheldon Middle School Student received an award Wednesday afternoon for taking 2nd place in a statewide poster contest sponsored by the Community Bankers of Iowa.
Heidi Brown of Citizen’s State Bank in Sheldon says this award marks the first time that any Sheldon student has ever been a state-wide winner in the contest.
Brown tells us about the winner and the winning poster design.
She describes Bella’s poster.
Brown says Bella’s poster was one of four the local bank submitted to the Community Bankers of Iowa.
She says Citizen’s State bank learned about three weeks ago that Bella’s poster had won 2nd place statewide, but things were kept a secret until Wednesday’s presentation.
