Sheldon A Little Warmer And Wetter Than Normal In June

Sheldon, Iowa — The month of June 2025 was a little warmer and a little wetter than normal in Sheldon.

According to the weather facts collected by KIWA Radio, the highest high was 97 degrees, recorded on both June 20th and 21st. The lowest high temperature was 64 degrees, recorded on June 3rd.

The lowest low in the month was 45, also on June 3rd. The highest low was 79 on June 21st.

The average high for the month was 82. The normal is 79. The average low was 60. The normal is 55. The average temperature as-a-whole for the month was 71 degrees, and normally it’s 67.

We received 5.61 inches of precipitation for June. A normal June sees 3.91, so we were above normal for the month by 1.7 inches. Year-to-date precip has been 12.02 inches. Normal year-to-date precip would be 13.26, so we’re 1.24 inches below normal on the year. The day with the most precip was June 2nd, when we received 1.28 inches of rain.
