Sheldon Burglar Makes Off With Nearly $2K Worth Of Items

Sheldon, Iowa — Sheldon Police are investigating a case of felony burglary that was reported earlier this week.

According to the Sheldon Police Department, Monday morning they were contacted about a burglary that had reportedly happened sometime over the weekend at an unlocked residence on 3rd Avenue in Sheldon.

Taken in the burglary, according to police, were two laptop computers, along with a back pack containing college text books, as well as two wrist watches. 

Total value of the stolen items is $1,980, according to authorities. Due to the total amount of the missing items, the crime is a Class “D” Felony, accoring to the report.
