Sheldon, Iowa — One Sheldon restaurant is helping the less fortunate in our community.
On Wednesday afternoon, Sheldon Taco John’s made a social media post that they will be offering a free meal to those in need. The post said that with SNAP benefits being cut and people not being paid to work, a lot of people could use some help.
Taco John’s says they’ll be offering a free meal to anyone who needs it. They say just come to the Taco John’s in Sheldon (or Cherokee, Carroll, Davenport, or Newton) and ask for the “Community Special.” It’s a bean or beef burrito and an order of Potato Olés, and it’s for anybody in need.
Taco John’s officials say their number one job is to feed the community, and they want to make sure that everybody can have a hot meal, no matter what.
