Sheldon, Iowa — Construction of the City of Sheldon’s new multi-million-dollar Wastewater Treatment Facility was recently completed, and City officials are ready to show it off to the public.
Sheldon Public Works Director Todd Uhl says the facility took a little less than two years to complete.
Uhl says replacement of the old facility was made necessary by a mandate from the Environmental Protection Agency.
He says the City will be conducting a tour of the new Wastewater Treatment Facility this evening, and invite all Sheldon residents to come see it.
The new Sheldon Wastewater Treatment Facility is located west of the City Shed, near the National Guard Armory, on Western Avenue in Sheldon.
