Sheldon City Council To Discuss Flooding Response, Other Topics During Monday Special Meeting

Sheldon, Iowa — The Sheldon City Council will meet Monday in special session.

According to Sheldon City Manager Sam Kooiker, the council will meet 4:30 pm in City Council Chambers at 416 9th St. You can watch via YouTube Live.

In new business, the council will discuss 2024 Flood clean-up and potential action items. They will hear an update from Public Works Director Todd Uhl, and one from Emergency Management (Either City EMA Director Wayne Barahona and/or O’Brien County EMA Director Jared Johnson will be there. Other departments will give updates as needed.

Then the council will have further discussion and direction, including but not limited to: – 10″ water main on Sheldon’s west side (Sioux County: NCC, Tradewinds Apts, etc).; Debris clean-up. – Tree and limb clean-up.
