Sheldon City Council To Face Varied Agenda Wednesday

Sheldon, Iowa — The Sheldon City Council will meet in regular session this Wednesday in the council chambers.

On their consent agenda is the approval of Brittani Bootsma and Collin Hoffard to the Sheldon Fire Company and appointments to the Airport Commission, Cemetery Board, Planning & Zoning Commission, and Recreation Trails Board.

Also on the consent agenda are making payments for a storm sewer project, the Sheldon Crossing Traffic Signal, the Lewis & Clark water project, the water tower, and a street patching project.

They are also expected to set the date and time for a public hearing on a budget amendment. The proposed date is October 4th.

In new business, they will hold a public hearing and the first reading of the adoption of the proposed Code of Ordinances of the City of Sheldon.

They will also hear three reports. One from Fire Chief Brad Hindt, one from Sheldon School District Superintendent Cory Myer, and one from City Manager Sam Kooiker.
