Sheldon Community Schools Hosting Virtual Book Fair

Sheldon, Iowa — The Sheldon Community Schools is once again hosting their Annual Spring Book Fair through Scholastic.

The book fair is going on now through March 21st, and is designed  to help raise funds for library books and improving the library space.  Just like the fall book fair, it will be held virtually again during the same time as the online parent-teacher conferences.

Traditionally the spring book fair has been held in the library at East Elementary School.  Since the book fair is online, books and educational materials will be available this year for all ages from preschool to high school.  Students, parents, extended family members and community members are all encouraged to check it out.

School officials say another new feature on the Scholastic website is their Virtual 360 Book Fair.  Visitors can enter a virtual room which replicates the in-school experience with book crates for each age level as well as author and book videos.
