Sheldon Community Schools To Host Virtual Book Fair Beginning Monday

Sheldon, Iowa — The Sheldon Community Schools will host their annual Fall Book Fair through Scholastic, beginning Monday November 2nd and running through November 15th.

The Book Fair is designed to to help raise funds for library books and improvement of the library space.

Traditionally the fall book fair has been held at the middle school, but due to the pandemic, this year’s fair will be held virtually. With the book fair now being online, books and educational materials will be available this year for all ages from preschool to high school.  Students, parents, extended family members and community members are all encouraged to check it out.

Another new feature this year on the Scholastic website is their Virtual 360 Book Fair.  Visitors can enter a virtual room which replicates the in-school experience with book crates for each age level as well as author and book videos. With Christmas around the corner, purchases will be shipped in plenty of time for gift giving.

The Virtual Book Fair weblink is available on the School District’s website and the order links will be live starting Monday, November 2.
