Sheldon Farmers Market Continues Through Labor Day

Sheldon, Iowa — The Sheldon Chamber of Commerce is reminding people about the Sheldon Farmers Market, which is available every Monday evening in Sheldon.

Sheldon Chamber Director Trista Kavanagh tells us about the Farmers Market.

She says if you’re older and having financial difficulty, they can help you get some fresh produce.

Just a heads-up — not every farmers market in Iowa is certified like Sheldon’s is. So before trying to use your checks elsewhere, it would be best to check ahead-of-time. Kavanagh gives us a couple of examples of the income limits.

If you have any questions, you can call the Sheldon Chamber at 712-324-2813. Again, the Farmers Market is every Monday from now through Labor Day. Almost every week it’s from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. at the Union Depot on Old 60 (2nd Avenue), except for during Celebration Days, when it’s typically earlier in the day on Labor Day Monday at the Sheldon City Park.
