Sheldon, Iowa — If you live in Sheldon, you might want to test your water for clarity this Saturday before you do laundry. That’s from Sheldon Fire Company Assistant Chief Brad Hindt.
Hindt tells us the Sheldon Fire Company will be doing its annual hose testing on Saturday, September 25th. He says they will be starting at 7:00 a.m. and they will continue until mid-afternoon.
He tells us the hose testing is a National Fire Protection Association requirement. The NFPA says the fire company is to annually pressure test their fire hoses.
Hindt says they want people to be aware that there could be some discoloration in the water system during this time. He advises you to use caution when washing white and delicate clothing. And Hindt also advises caution when driving in the area of the fire station on Saturday.
