Sheldon, Iowa — What is probably the oldest current Sheldon Chamber annual promotion is again underway.
Every Easter season, the Sheldon Chamber runs their golden egg contest. Sheldon Chamber Director Trista Kavanagh tells us about it.
The prize money goes down because the contest gets easier the more clues that are given out. Kavanagh says the clues also get a little more obvious every day.
You can find the clues by visiting the participating sponsors’ businesses. Clues cannot be given out over the phone and will not be announced on the radio or on our KIWA website the day the clue is given.
It varies, but normally the egg is found within a few days.
She tells us which Sheldon businesses will post the clues.
Again, you must visit a business to get the clues. Don’t call the SCDC Office, and don’t call KIWA, as we can’t give out the day’s clue.
