Sheldon, Iowa — For the second time in less than a week the Sheldon Community High School has had to deal with floodwaters during a heavy rain.
A group of students who happened to be in the school’s Weight Room at the time discovered the flooding, reportedly in the area of the building’s kitchen, and alerted school officials.
We’re told the weightlifters then pitched in and helped control the floodwaters before they got out of hand.
Never good to have issues with water, etc in the building let alone twice in one week. We’re very fortunate to have students, staff and community members willing to give back and help out when in need. Thank you to everyone who helped out this morning and Saturday night! #orabs pic.twitter.com/upoHCY62MK
