Sheldon, Iowa — The Sheldon Home & Design Expo won’t happen this year. And it’s not due to COVID — at least not in any concrete way that anyone is aware of.
Apparently, it’s due to a lack of vendors signing up for the show, according to SCDC Director Curt Strouth.
In a written public service statement released on Wednesday, March 9th, Strouth says, “The Sheldon Home and Design Expo, [which had been] scheduled for Saturday, March 19 at the Lifelong Learning and Recreation Center in Sheldon has been canceled.”
Strouth says the SCDC believes in hosting a “high-quality event,” but, he says that “…due to lack of vendor registrations and other circumstances, we had to make the tough decision to cancel this year’s event.” He goes on to say, “We certainly apologize for any inconvenience that this may cause, and our goal is to execute this event again in 2023.”.
