Sheldon Housing Assessment Survey Breaks State Record For Number Of Responses

Sheldon, Iowa — For the past few months the City of Sheldon and the SCDC, in partnership with Iowa State University Extension, have been conducting a Housing Assessment Survey for the City of Sheldon. Survey results were delivered to Sheldon Development Director Curt Strouth on Wednesday.

Strouth says the Sheldon Housing Assessment Survey participation was so good that it shattered the record for number of survey respondents for the state of Iowa.

Strouth talks about one of the common issues mentioned by those completing the survey.

He says another common theme involved the desire for different types of development property for new home construction.

After receiving the survey results Wednesday, Strouth says a meeting of the Housing Assessment Committee was held to review those results.

Strouth extended his thanks to everyone who took time to fill out the Housing Assessment Survey, saying that survey results gave some good guidance on how to move forward.
