Sheldon, Iowa — Sheldon’s Mayor, Katricia Meendering, is in the process of organizing a committee to help establish a Rental Code for the City.
Meendering is seeking volunteers to serve on this committee, and she says she’s looking for a diverse group of people.
The Mayor says she’s looking for volunteers who don’t have an agenda.
Meendering says the purpose of the group will be to help develop a Rental Code, that will then be sent to the City Council for their review and approval.
She says that, currently, the City of Sheldon has no local Rental Code, and must rely on the Iowa Code.
