Sheldon, Iowa — Due to the closure of Western Avenue in Sheldon, the Sheldon Mobile Food Bank location has been moved for this Monday (May 4th).
The Sheldon Mobile Food Bank will be open this Monday at the parking lot of the Immanuel Christian Reformed Church. The church is located directly across the street south of the Sheldon High School, and north of Eastlawn Cemetery.
This weeks Sheldon Mobile Food Bank visit will be a drive-thru distribution, and will run from 4:30 to 6:00 pm.
You’re advised to NOT get out of your car for any reason, and do NOT come early.
Organizers ask that you enter the south driveway on East 6th Street, and form lines on the parking lot there. You will then drive through the church canopy and exit by the north driveway.
Please do not come in from the wrong direction. Signs will be posted to get you there. If the parking lot is full, just line up your cars on the street south of the church and wrap around the cemetery. Please be conscious of not blocking driveways as you wait in line.
When you come thru the line you will not be able to get out of your car, so organizers say you will need to open your trunk so your food can be placed inside.
If you need to reorganize your trunk you will need to do that before you come.
If you want to give your information over the phone you may call 712.541.1502, which will speed up the process when you come.
Again, the location for this week’s Sheldon Mobile Food Bank will be at Immanuel Christian Reformed Church in Sheldon.
