Sheldon Native Is “Iowa Adventurer”

Sheldon, Iowa — A Sheldon native has embarked on a journey designed to take him to every community in the state of Iowa, all 900 of them, and report what he finds in every nook and cranny of the state on his website.

Don McDowell is called the “Iowa Adventurer”, and he is striving to let people know about some of the Hawkeye State’s “hidden gems”.

Not only does McDowell’s website offer suggestions of places to visit around Iowa, but he talks about great places to eat, as well.

McDowell says his travels around Iowa not only lead him to cool people and places, but he says he’s discovering a lot about Iowa history through his travels.

He says you don’t need to go very far to find an adventure….you might find one right in your back yard.
