Sheldon, Iowa — It was a close one, but the team of the Sheldon Police Department and Sheldon Community Ambulance Team eked one out over the team of the Sheldon Fire Company and Sheldon Emergency Management at the Heroes Behind the Badges Blood Drive in Sheldon on Monday.
Community Blood Bank Executive Director Ken Ver Steeg tells us more.
Not only is it a victory for the emergency crews, but the 32 units collected are also a victory for patients who need blood, says Ver Steeg.
