Sheldon, Iowa — After a little more than four years in the “top cop” position in Sheldon, Sheldon Police Chief Scott Burtch has tendered his resignation.
Chief Burtch took the job on April 6, 2020. He tells us about his future plans.
We asked Burtch about the reason for the move.
He tells us he enjoyed working with people in Sheldon.
Burtch’s resignation letter will come before the Sheldon City Council at their regular meeting on Wednesday. City Manager Sam Kooiker says, “We wish him well in his new endeavors, and we
look forward to the City building upon his successes.”
