UPDATE: Cops Say Thanks – Vehicle Found

Sheldon, Iowa — Sheldon Police are thanking the public for information into the “hit & run” crash that happened Friday morning near downtown Sheldon.

Police say the vehicle has been located, and more information will be released soon.

Sheldon, Iowa — Sheldon Police are looking for the public’s help in solving the case of a hit and run collision that happened Friday morning.

According to Sheldon Police, the incident happened during the 7:00 hour Friday morning in the 500 block of 9th Street, just east of downtown. Authorities say an unknown vehicle struck a parked grey Jeep, then fled the scene, causing left side damage to the Jeep.

At this time, Sheldon Police say they have no description of the hit and run vehicle, so they are asking residents and businesses in the area that have security cameras which might have caught images of the vehicle that struck the Jeep and fled, or anyone having knowledge of the incident, to please contact Sheldon Police at 712-324-2525.
