Sheldon School Board Seeks Public Input On New Superintendent Qualifications

Sheldon, Iowa — The Sheldon Community School Board is seeking feedback from those in the Sheldon district, on what qualifications citizens want to see in their new School Superintendent.

Current Superintendent Robin Spears has announced that he will be retiring at the end of June, 2018, and as a result the Sheldon Community School Board has hired Grundmeyer Leader Search to support the search for a new district superintendent.

The board is conducting a work session on December 12 to plan the details of the search with the consultant.  A more detailed timeline and hiring update will be available after that meeting.  The search will begin immediately and conclude with the hiring of a new successful leader on or before February 14, 2018, according to Spears..

Your feedback regarding what desired qualifications are most important for this position will ensure the hire is a good fit for our school district.  In this brief survey, you will be asked to identify the qualities and skills most necessary in a new district superintendent.

The Sheldon School Board thanks you for taking the time to complete this survey and provide direction for this important leadership position no later than Sunday, Dec. 10th.

The online survey can be accessed by computer or mobile device at:  http://tinyurl.com/sheldonsuptsurvey
