Sheldon School Board To Hear Update On Preschool Building

Sheldon, Iowa — The Sheldon Community School Board will hold their regular May meeting this Wednesday (May 12th) in the Sheldon High School Library.

Among the items on their agenda is an update from Superintendent Cory Myer on the District’s new preschool building. That building is the former Fantasia location, across the street north of the Sheldon Community Schools campus. The District recently purchased the building from Village Northwest Unlimited and are in the process of remodeling it to fit the District’s needs.

The School Board is also expected to approve the replacement of all of the District’s network equipment, including wireless access points and network switchers, District-wide, at a total cost of just over $120,000, along with several other agenda items.

Following the regular agenda items, the School Board is expected to go into closed session for the purpose of a Superintendent Evaluation.

Wednesday’s meeting begins at 4:00 pm in the high school library.
