Sheldon Teen, Spirit Lake Man Charged In Armed Robbery Case

Spirit Lake, Iowa — A Sheldon teen and a Spirit Lake man have been charged in connection with an armed robbery case in Spirit Lake.

Court records indicate that 19-year-old Brandon Bebon of Sheldon and 26-year-old Samuel Stoller of Spirit Lake were arrested early on Wednesday, March 7th, and were charged with first degree burglary, first degree robbery, going armed with intent, possession of a controlled substance – methamphetamine, possession of a controlled substance – marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and 4th degree theft.

Spirit Lake Police officers say that while responding to the call, they encountered a vehicle that matched the description of the vehicle reportedly involved in the robbery. Officers stopped the vehicle in Spirit Lake.

The court records allege that Bebon entered a trailer house in Spirit Lake, armed with a .22 caliber handgun and demanded that the male occupant empty his pockets and give him everything he had. The documents filed by the Spirit Lake Police Department indicate that Bebon pointed the gun at both a male and a female occupant of the trailer. They also indicate that the Sig Sauer handgun that was in Bebon’s possession had been stolen from Stoller’s father.

Court records allege that Stoller drove the getaway car, giving Bebon a ride both to and from the scene of the crime.
