Sheldon United Fund Surpasses 2021 Goal

Sheldon, Iowa — With five days left to go, the Sheldon United Fund has surpassed its 2021 goal.

The drive continues through Friday. The goal this year was $30,000.

The fund drive is now 96% finished. The funds are at about 101% of the goal, at $30,292. In the last week, donors gave $1700.

Contributions to any or all of the organizations served by the Sheldon United Fund may be left at any of Sheldon’s four designated locations: Citizen’s State Bank; Iowa State Bank; Northwestern Bank or Peoples Bank. Or you can mail your check to PO Box 41, Sheldon, IA 51201. Explanations of the organizations are also available at the banks.

The United Fund will be assisting 23 different organizations in Sheldon and the surrounding communities this year, and the board members thank the businesses and individuals of Sheldon and the surrounding communities for their generous support. United Fund spokesperson Cindy Runger says, “We would not achieve our goal without you.” She says, the “Sheldon United Fund is people helping people.”
